Lodi Pedestrian severely injured

A Lodi resident, Clauia Linder, 82, was struck by a pickup truck this past Monday and was taken by helicopter to UCD Medical Center. She was crossing Turner Road near Lincoln Avenue when she was stuck by a pickup truck.

Anyone who witnessed the accident should contact Sgt. Steve Carillo at 333-5558.

Many people are unaware of the fact that pedestrians are usually the innocent party in car vs walker collisions.

They may also be unaware that most of the time there is insurance coverage available under Uninsured or Underinsured Motorist provisions of the pedestrian's auto policy even if the driver of the at fault vehicle is uninsured.
