There's some good basic text's available for an attorney who is handling a bicycle accident case. BICYCLE ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION FOR THE FORENSIC ENGINEER is useful in determining the causal factors of bicycle accidents. The autor, Jim Green, is a professional engineer and triathlete with 20 years experience in reconstructing accidents.

Another useful text for the attorney is the book BICYCLE ACCIDENTS: ENGINEERING AND LEGAL ASPECTS.

The books authors have over 20 years experience investigating bike accidents including one author who is a PH.D. in biomechanics. It covers such topics as the physical and operating characteristics of bicycles, cyclist's rights and duties, accident types, insurance and liability issues and bicycle regulatory information, including the Uniform Vehicle Code and State Bicycle Statutes.
